UV Light LED Based Source - the Best for Profitable Curing

Despite some incompleteness of traditional uv-printers they sell good nowadays. at the same time buyers are looking for equipment that enables them to increase output, ROI and provide customers with qualitative product at competitive price. Another moment is that now we can see rather new and amazing offer — UV-LED curing. So, lets see if UV light LED based source is really so cute in comparison with UV-lamps.

There are some points that you have to bear in mind when choosing the technology (printer).

So, UV-LED technology offers advantages over the lamp systems and provides significant benefits

  • Precise printing and best curing. First of all UV-LED technology itself is the UV light LED based source. It's a process of instant ink polymerization with the 385 nm wave-length. the main feature is a single UV band that provides complete and safe curing. in comparison UV-lamps are characterized by multiple peaks.
  • What else do you want to print on? Versatility towards the media. UV-LED technology enables printing on almost all kinds of substrates. Even heat sensitive and exacting media can be used successfully. Thin film, thin plastics, foam plastic (ceiling tile), paper, and leather. Use UV-LED innovation to expand your range of applications. These means you will attract more clients. UV-lamp defect the media during printing (warp, melt) and doesn't provide customers with stable quality of the end product.
  • Ozone — free. Ecologically friendly technology. UV-LED technology allows printing without ozone emissions. This is important for health of people and environment. UV-lams generate ozone during the printing process and that leads to cancer.
  • No heat generation. Touch the UV-LED block — it's cool, always. Never touch a uv-lamp when it is switched on and illuminated! One of the main benefits is that UV-LED works with no or very little heat. as for lamps systems — warming is one of the main problems. as a result of using UV-LED no additional device for cooling the lamps and ventilating the room required. Operating temperature of UV-LED is 36 °C and for UV-lamp it is about 500 °C.
  • UV-LED technology gives much savings in electricity. Each month you will get a reasonable energy bill. Energy consumption of UV light LED based source is very low!
  • Pay once and use for many years! UV-LED last between 40'000 and 100'000 hours. It's about 14 years of twenty-four-hour operation (under normal condition according to recommendations). And it means you will not have any additional charges for replacement. Most lamps provide trouble-free work for 600 hours approximately. Then you have to replace them (actually both of them at the same time). You should realize that every 3–4 months you will have to pay about 800$ (price depends on manufacturer) for lamp replacement. in case of UV-LED use the cost of ownership is low! Moreover we give a 5 year guarantee on UV-LED block!
  • For UV-LED only. Switching on is instant. On/off time, no more than 1second. No warm-up time. When you use UV-lamps you have to wait 2–3 minutes before the system is warming. So, sometimes it is not convenient to wait between running different jobs. Also each switching on is like a strike — reduces the lifetime of the lamp by 2 hours approximately. in economical sense UV-LED technology is much more advantageous.
  • No mercury. No recycle problems. UV-LED does not contain mercury. as for uv-lamps they are consist of carcinogen including mercury and heavy metal salts. They are very toxic and also using these lamps you will face utilization problems.
